A.C.o.D/The Maelstrom/2015 CD Review

A.C.o.D  are  a  band from  France  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  mixture  of  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  with  a  musical  style  that  they  call  'blended  metal'  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2015  album  "The  Maelstrom".

A  very  heavy  death  metal  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  the  music  speeding  up  a  few  seconds  alter  and  also  adding  in  growls  and  blast  beats  and  the  music also  brings  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  you  can  also  hear  black  metal  screams  being  utilized  in  some  parts  of  the  songs.

At  times  the  music  can  be  very  atmospheric  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  the  riffs  also  bring  melodies  into  the  songs  at  times  along  with  the  solos  also  being  very  melodic  in  an  old  school  metal  direction  and  there  are  a  lot  of  modern  thrash  elements  present  throughout  the  recording.

Some  tracks  also  bring  in  a  small  amount  of  spoken  word  parts and  as  the  album  progresses  groove  metal  screams  can  be  heard  briefly  while  a  later  track  brings  in  a  brief  use  of  violins  before returning  back  to  a  heavier  musical  direction and later  on  a  brief  use  of  clean  singing  and  classical  guitars  can  be  heard.

A.C.o.D  creates  another  recording  that  takes  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  and  mixes  them  together  along  with  a  great  amount  of  melody  to create  another  very  heavy  yet  talented  sounding  album,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  for  being a  self  released  recording  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  and  real  life  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from A.C.o.D  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black,  death  and  thrash  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Way  Of  Death"  "Words  Of  War"  "Cold"  and  "Crimson".  8  out  of  10.

Vomit Of Doom/Obey The Darkness/Satanah Records/2015 CD Review

Vomit  Of  Doom  are  a  band  from  Argentina  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black  metal  and  thrash  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2015  album  "Obey  the  Darkness"  which  was  released  by  Satanath  Records.

Clean  playing  and  horror  movie  sound  effects  start  off  the  album  and  after  the  intro  the  music  goes  into  a  thrash  metal  direction  along  with  some  grim  black/thrash  screams  and  blast  beats  and  the  music  also  brings  in  a  great  mixture  of  first  and  second  wave  black  metal  influences  while  also  being  mostly  rooted  in  the  South  American  extreme  metal  sound  of  the  80's  era.

When  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  remain  true  to  a  very  raw  and  old  school  extreme  style  of  metal  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  after  awhile  the  vocals  start  bringing  in  a  small  amount  of  growls  and  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of    slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  as  the  album  progresses  clean  playing  makes  its  return  at  times  on  the  interludes  and  outros  along  with  some  spoken  word  samples  before  making  a  return  back  to  a  black/thrash  direction  and  some  of the  riffs  also  use  a  small  amount  of  melody  at  times.

Vomit  Of  Doom  plays  a  musical  style that  takes  first  and  second  wave  black  metal  and  mixes  it  with  South  American  style  80's  thrash  to create  some  very heavy,  extreme  retro  metal,  the  production  sounds  very  old  school  yet  heavy  at  the  same  time  while  the  lyrics  cover  Revenge,  Satan,  Death,  Blasphemy  and  Metal  themes.

In  my  opinion  Vomit  Of  Doom  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black  and  thrash  metal  and  if  you  area  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Conspiracy Vs,  The  World"  "Maze  Of  Doom"  "Satan's  Vengeance"  and  "Into  the  Perdition". 8  out  of  10.

Atrament Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

We’re a new band, but we’ve all been or currently are active in other bands: Chad currently drums in Necrot, Mortuous, Rude, and Caffa and used to be in Vastum and Bruxers, James used to play guitar in Moral Void and Black September, both based out of Chicago, and I currently play in Abstracter and that has been my main band for almost six years now. Sam was never in active bands and I believe this is the first time he takes his time to record and play live in a band. As far as how Atrament came to be, while I was in Abstracter I started to really get into faster and more raw forms of punk and metal. Since Abstracter isn’t really the right outlet for that, I decided I would try and give it a shot with another band. So I started looking for people to jam with, and after about a year of disappointments I met James on Craigslist who in the meantime had left Moral Void in Chicago to move to the Bay Area, and was looking to do something similar. I love Moral Void and that band was more or less in the style I was trying to go for, so I got really excited to meet him. After hearing his demos I immediately thought about Chad, a huge d-beat enthusiast. But mostly he’s an insane drummer, so I pitched the idea to him sent him James’ demos and he was into it. Sam’s an amazing bass player that I had tried to get into Abstracter before so asking him to join on bass was a no brainer. He was into the jams as well, and this time had some time on his side during the week, so here we are.

2.Recently you have released a demo, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording?

It’s D-Beat Crust done the classic conventional way. I don’t think this band it trying to change the rules of the game. We love the classic sound, and this is our way to celebrate it. However, a darkness and grimness came into play as James is a huge Darkthrone fan who loves to throw in some evil riffs and some minor discordant chords here and there, Chad is really into old school Death Metal and Grind so at times his drumming gets really menacing, and I have a fascination with darkness and despair that probably came over from Abstracter. So the end result is definitely something that stands on its own.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?

Just one mainly: the disease that is mankind in all of its possible declinations - ranging from animal abuse to war, disease, pain, suffering, pollution etc. but it’s all drenched in apocalyptic and surreal commentary.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Atrament'?
“Atramentum” is latin for “blackening”. The noun “Atrament” in modern english therefore stands for something - a substance - that blackens, that turns things black. The word “atrocity” comes from the same latin word also.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?

We’ve only played one show with False from Minnesota, Gloam from Santa Cruz and Pale Chalice from San Francisco, and it was a killer time.

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?

Not at the moment, but definitely thinking about it.

7.The demo was released on Sentient Ruin, are you happy with the support they have provided you with so far?

Well, Sentient Ruin, is my label, haha.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black, death metal and crust?
We’re still very new, have only played one show and the demo just came out, so its hard to tell and too early to say. All our friends in other bands here in Oakland are excited about us doing this and are supportive though.

9.What is going on with some of the other bands or musical projects these days that some of the band members are a part of?

Chad is always the busiest with Necrot, and they are going to tour the Northwest soon and are working on new material. I believe Caffa will have a new release out soon as well. Abstracter is going to record a split in the beginning of September, play Southwest Terror Fest in Arizona in October, and then tour Europe in Spring of 2016. I think James is looking to form a doom metal band on the side here in Oakland but I’m not sure how far into it he is. Sam is busy with this band and making beer with his friends, haha.

10.When can we expect a full length album and where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

It is already recorded and will be announced soon.

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

As far as Atrament goes: Early Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, Darkthrone, Burzum, Skitsystem, Discharge, Doom, Early Dismember, Tragedy, Amebix and Axegrinder. Lately I’ve been really enjoying Column of Heaven, Knelt Rote and Gehenna.

12.What are some of your non musical interests?
Unfortunately I think music takes up all of my time outside of work. I like to try new food, I love movies and I love the outdoors (hikes etc)

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Yes - thanks to you for your time, to to anyone reading this, and to anyone who has shown interest in what we do.

Obscene Entity Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the band since the recording of the new album?

Matt: The focus has been completely on getting a new line-up ready for the gigs that will follow the album's release. Myself and Luke have been writing new songs on the side too.

2.You have a new album coming out in November, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording and also how does it differ from the ep you had released in 2012?

M: Some of the songs on this album have been around for ages, one even before 2012, so there is a familiar sound to the E.P evident. I think the album is a big step up, bringing more thought out structures, and better production. We worked hard on ways to bring the album together and having it flow neatly.

3.This is the first recording to be released in 3 years, can you tell us a little bit more about the gap's in between releases?

Luke: There's not a great deal to say about it really, we were mainly living our lives and of course doing our best to keep doing shows and keep on top of our game while working out the most realistic but ambitious ways we could get this album realised. Obviously things transpired which weren't always easy or pleasant, but ultimately it was all necessary to be at the point we are now, both with the album we have and the vibe with the group which is the most optimistic it's ever been.

4.The lyrics on the new album are a concept, can you tell us a little bit more about it?

M: It's not really a concept album as such, but there are 2 tracks on there which are descriptions of the more fragile states we personally (Luke and I) have experienced. They stood out to us so much when we looked at the final product, that we decided to base the albums artwork and title around that idea. There are also another 2 tracks which do the same, but aren't autobiographical at all.

L: Yeah exactly, I mean the music is an outlet, it's personal with or without lyrics, so I guess it's natural that we would draw energy from within to fuel the fire of the band.
It's not an all consuming thing with us as musicians or this album , but we definitely wanted that atmosphere to be felt audibly and visually because we wanted people to connect with the exorcising powers that helped give life to the album.

5.On previous material you had covered conspiracy theories and the Nephelim, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in this topic?

M: The Nephilim was a theme brought to the table by our ex guitarist Terry Sutton. We are open to all sorts of theories, but what is important for us, is that we are 'awake' to the fact that we are lied to by our Governments constantly. History is written by the victor and money was invented to create a slave system.

6.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Obscene Entity'?

M: Terry and I were quite into reading about extra dimensional beings when we started the band, and would share ridiculous stories surrounding that kind of thing, and I just came up with the term Obscene Entity and it stuck.

L: For me it was always the best representation of us, It's both blunt and vague enough at the same time to get the point across while not being tied down with presumptions. An indeterminable and sinister presence.

7.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?

L: We've shared the stage with Anaal Nathrakh, Napalm Death and Desecration, Those stuck out as particularly memorable to me, mind you, we've played some amazing shows to just a handful of people, the overall atmosphere of an event, no matter who is playing or where is massively important. Our live performance is always aimed at making people feel like, 'fucking hell, what did I just see?!'. The animals come out.

8.Do you have any touring or show plans once the new album is released?

L: Nothing set in stone, but we will endeavour to do a tour at least.

9.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of extreme metal?

L: The response we've had from places oversea's has always been really encouraging. Lamentia being our first full-length effort will be a telling time I should imagine, but yeah support

for extreme metal is still thriving the world over so it will be interesting to see what it makes of us.

10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

M: Post-Punk/Shoegaze!! Isn't that what the cool kids are doing?
We will play what we want at the time. If we expect anything musically we are kidding ourselves really.

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

M: A lot of bands we play with have influenced the way we approach the music. Being in other bands working with different musicians helps too. Myself being in 'Shrines' and Luke being in 'Terra' has helped us develop our musicianship a lot. I am a massive fan of some of the bands we have played with. 'Voices' and 'Jötnarr' being two that stand out to me.

L: I have my old musical loves and my new musical loves, pretty much spanning all genre's, it depends on what itch needs to be scratched and what 'speaks' to me at the time. The musicians I play with keep me inspired the most definitely. Seeing people express themselves through their instrument provokes me to want to do my best to compliment it, change and create it into something 'new'.

12.What are some of your non musical interests?

L: Art mainly, it's a good counter-balance to having such a combustive one with drumming.

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Check out the album, If you like it, buy it and some of the merch, come out to our shows too! the support helps us keep making music. cheers.

Grim Vision Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days?

Hey there, thanks a lot for your interest in us!! We will release our second ep soon, we are playing shows if we find the time and we already started to write new material.

2.You have a new ep coming out in August, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording and also how does it differ from the stuff you have released in the past?

hm, good question. I would describe our sound as a combination of deathmetal and hardcore with some crust influences. on our first ep we had some black metal influences as well, they are still present in our music but not on the new ep. we also wrote a very long song which appears on the b side of the ep. this song has some doom influences as well…but this is how we see our music, to sum it up: just expect some heavy tunes, whatever you want to labell them. some dude asked me if we listened a lot to clevo bands like Integrity, Ringworm or In Cold Blood. We do, yes, but it was`nt our intention to do a „clevo“ style record.

The sound itself differs from the last ep as it is fatter but also a bit rougher. We recorded it at 48 Volt studios together with our friend Philipp Salm and it was mastered by Role at die Tonmeisterei in Oldenburg. We love the result, it worked out very well and you can really hear the difference to our first ep.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the newer music?

Our lyrics are still inspired by poems from the late 19th/early 20th century and deal with war and all it`s abominations.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Grim Vision'?

If you see what happened in the past and what happens right now in the world you will recognize that history repeats itself. We could learn from the past but we don`t want to or are too stupid or whatever…..so in our eyes the world has no shiny future. We have a „grim vision“ of what will come.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?

oh that´s not so easy to say. Personally I love the small shows…small venue, no stage and packed with people. We had shows like this in Cuxhaven and Bremen for example. Bandwise the best show was probably the one in Münster we played this year with Angst, EBH, Disgrace and Twitching Tongues.

6.Do you have any touring or show plans once the new ep is released?

As we are all pretty busy with jobs, girlfriends or dogs we don`t find the time to do real tour at the moment. I hope this will change in the future. We`re going play some shows this year after the release but we are willing to play more if someone is interested. It`s just a problem that I have to work on weekends too, makes it a bit complicated.

When you are younger and go to school or study it`s definitly easier to tour and stuff but when you have regular job and other duties it comes to a point where you have to decide what is possible and what not.

7.The new ep is going to be released on Bastardized Recordings, can you tell us a little bit bit about the contract you have signed with the label?

I know Marcus who works there since many years and when we recorded our first ep I just asked him if he want`s to check it out. He did and he liked it like the other guys at bastardized. We didn`t expect that and were very happy. It`s uncomplicated to work with them and we are very happy that they help us. I hope they think the same about us haha…About the contract? no comment hahaha.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of hardcore and metal?

It`s hard to say on a worldwide level. I know some european mailorders who sell our record so I guess some people like what we do. As we are coming from the hardcore scene we didn`t play too many metal shows to this date and I really don`t know if the „real“ metal scene would like our stuff. But we got good feedback from the german hardcore scene. I think to get recognized on a worlwide level it takes some more releases  or at least some „famous“ guys in the band and good contacts. We just do our thing and see what will come-

9.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

We hopefully manage to write a whole album and we try to mix different influences to keep the tension high.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your newer music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Soundwise we are influenced by swedish death metal. Bands like Dismember, Entombed, Entrails influence us and also newer bands like Young and in the way,Primitive Man or Nails for example. And we love the clevo Bands I mentioned before. Personally I love Ringworm and Integrity and as I said some people say they hear it in our music. That`s a compliment for me haha

11.What are some of your non musical interests?

Max loves football and  energy drinks. Bibo is fully into Beer drinking and his little puppy, Dom walks his dog as well and has a strange passion for Dr Who. I smoke weed, play with my cat and debate about football with my friends.Just the regular stuff haha

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Rotem Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what is going on with the music project these days?

After the last work that came out on the 11th of June, the project being a one man band that does not play live is taking a little break from releases but is already working slowly but steadily  for the next work.

2.So far you have released a demo, ep and full length, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recordings and also how do they differ from each other?

Well Rotem's demo lacked any kind of professional sound quality because it was just a small presentation of the project that was recorded to be sent to labels, the full length was a continuation of the songs and theme that were in the demo, even those songs appeared again on the full length but re-recorded and with some alterations, musically and sound wise it's a very aggressive and raw album, and it's was meant to be that way also because of the theme that is the self-destruction of mankind.
The second and last work so far the ep "Nightmare Forever" was a totally different animal from the first work I did and that's something I plan on doing with my releases because I don't want to repeat myself of fall into formulas.
In comparison to the full-length it's more heavy because I used down tuning, more melodic and groovy and it's has much more death metal elements and the theme that is horror and psychological illnesses is also much different from the misantrophy and self-destruction of

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects you explore with your music?
So far i've explorerd humanity, misanthropy, politics and religion but I plan to dwell more into philosophy, history and my inner self.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Rotem'?
The meaning of the name 'Rotem' is a anagram from the portuguese word 'Morte' which translates in english to 'Death , the inspiration comes from the works of the band Death because I see Rotem has a lyrical continuation of the themes that Death has left to us.

5.With this musical project you record everything by yourself, are you open to working with other musicians?

Yes I did that in the full length "Dehumanization" I had two musicians has guests, and I hope to have more colaborations with other musicians in the future too for my project because that gives a whole new life to a song I make and it's very interesting to hear other approaches other than what I do musically.

6.On the recordings you have done both Celtic Frost and Mercyful Fate covers, what was the decision behind doing your own versions of the 2 classic songs?

Essencially every cover I do is a tribute to bands I admire and have influenced me but they also have to fit the general theme of the work I incorporate them into, like Procreation Of The Wicked which I think worked great with the rest of the songs in "Dehumanization" and Come To The Sabbath" into "Nightmare Forever" that has a horror theme and what better way pay tribute to the king of horror itself.

7.The last couple of releases where released by Ethereal Sound Works and Egg Of Nihilism Productions, can you tell us a little bit more about these labels?
Of course, Ethereal Sound Works was the first label that was interested in my work and I proudly accepted to be in their artist roaster and still am because the main objective of the label is to release music made by portuguese artists, and Egg Of Nihilism Productions is dedicated exclusively to releasing material in tape format and you didn't referred but there is also my label which I created mainly to release my works completely independent from any labels.

8.On a worldwide label how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black and death metal?
So far it has been positive, and the reviews I have received for my works also have been very positive and the project seems to be turning very promising to fans and that very pleasing to hear.

9.Where do you see yourself heading into as a musician in the future?
Possibilly making better music than I do now, getting better at my craft and always trying to make something new and fresh.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Mainly in terms of styles Death and Black metal but I try to mix those two with pretty much anything. In terms of bands there are so many that it's really difficult for me to name them all but I love and still am very inspired by many of the classics and veteran bands that we have in metal and I also like to keep an eye in the new bands on the vanguard of these days and try to assimilate what I like from them.

11.What are some of your non musical interests?
I like hiking, drawing, arts, movies, documentaries and shooting.

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
I would like to thank Occult Black Metal Zine for the support and interested in Rotem
Cheers!

Obscene Entity/Lamentia/Tridroid Records/2015 CD Review

Obscene  Entity  are  a  band  from  the  United  Kingdom  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black,  death  metal  and  grindcore  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2015 album   "Lamentia"  which  will  be  released  in  November  by  Tridroid  Records.

A very  distorted  yet  melodic  sound  starts  off  the  album  and  starts  to  get heavier  after  a  few  minutes  along  with  some  black  metal  screams  and  death  metal  style  riffing  as  well  as  growls  being  added  into  some  of  the  vocals  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  are  utilized  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

Elements  of  grindcore  can  be  heard  quite  a  but  throughout  the  recording  and  the  music  also  brings  in  a  very  90's  influenced  style  of  extreme  metal  throughout  the recording  while  the  music  still  has  a  very  modern  sound  at  times  and  as  the  album  progresses  a  brief  use  of  clean  playing  can  be  heard   before  making  a  return  back  to  a  heavier  musical  direction  and  when  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they remain  true  to an  old  school  death  metal  direction.

Obscene  Entity  takes  and  old  school  form  of  death  metal  and  mixes  it  in  with  a  more  modern  and  blackened  style  along  with  some  grindcore  elements  to  create  a  style of  their  own,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  a  concept  album  based  upon  the  fragility  of  the  mind  and  psychosis.

In  my  opinion  Obscene  Entity  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black,  death  metal  and  grindcore  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Planetary  Devastation"  "Euphoric  Vanity"  "Insanity  Blinds"  and  "Stripped  Of  All  And  Everything".  8  out  of  10.

Abandoned Dreams Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the band since the recording and release of the new ep?

On the day we released the "Home"EP we also played a nice show on the Dark Easter Metal Meeting along Bands like Ahab, Urfaust, Endstille and Primordial. It was a nice experience to be part of a great billing like that. Now we are working on new Songs and playing some gigs and we are looking forward to the show with OPHIS in Ulm on 12th September.

2.In April you had released a new ep, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording and also how does it differ from the stuff you have released in the past?

Oh, I think there is a big difference in the sound we play now and the stuff we used to play before the EP. The whole speed has been put down and is now only in slow doom and mid-tempo rock spheres,...also the Vocals are now completely clean and the growls and screams are put aside,...
The reasons behind are quite simple: the music we did before was composed for two guitars and since the leaving of our former bassist we choose to continue as three.
So there is only one guitar left and some of our old songs really don't fit with this lineup...
It's also the first time i wrote everything alone at home and we worked it out as band, did the arrangements and stuff... and of course there are always a lot of influences around everyone to form the sound and what you want it to sound like.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?

The lyrics on the new EP are quite personal and emotional stuff so that's why there is no booklet or anything where you can find them. Since 2009 when the first ideas and songs came up the whole theme was about melancholy, loneliness, the darker sides of nature... and it is still in 2015.
So the Home EP is inspired by some experiences i made the months before the release and it is one of the reasons why the whole sound changed. Maybe the whole vibe of the EP is a more positive one than on the releases of the past but the melancholy is still very present.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Abandoned Dreams'?

To be honest there is no big deal about the name... when we were looking for a name 6 years ago we thought about something that might fit the band sound and the idea of it. I think the name is still a good choice even now when the sound is no longer only black and doom metal inspired.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?

For me every show has it's special moments or good and negative points but the show on the Dark Easter Metal Meeting was a very cool experience... We played for more people than usual and there were lot's of people who maybe never heard about us before.
A special Gig too was of course the show with agalloch a few years ago. But again every show and everything that surrounds the evening of a gig is worth to be experienced.
Our stage performance is,... it is a doom rock thing,... so you don't expect any hard moshing or stuff right? ;-)
We have now a lot of candles on stage and the lights are nearly off... we want to create some special atmosphere with the music and the whole appereance.

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?

Of course we want to play as many shows as we can or get the chance to play. Right now there is only the Show with OPHIS in Ulm in September (12th) but i think there will be some more till the end of 2015. There is still the big problem that most people will stay at home watching tv than going to some underground metal show.... but they should... this is the only way to keep the scene and bands alive,...

7.Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest?

Yes we do everything ourselves and it turned out that maybe this is the only good thing. We had some interested labels and distributions but when you think more than 5 minutes about it you will realize that you pay more than you earn and in 50% the whole thing will gain nothing than a loss of money and time.
So we will continue with doing it on our own until we find some ways to get the word spread in bigger waves, be it a label, distribution or anything.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black and doom metal?

The feedback we get, specially for the new songs, is amazing. A lot of people who did not know what to expect tell us after the shows how much they liked it.
We will see where it will take us but the way right now feels very good and we are always interested in how people think about our work.

9.When can we expect another full length album and also where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

Currently we are writing and working on some new songs. We are thinking in doing an EP again, maybe in the end of 2015 but there is no promise about that...
The musical and lyrical themes will be build on the "Home" EP and we will see how the things develope. It will be of course the same melancholic atmosphere and perhaps it will turn out a bit darker when the summer is done.
We will keep you updated via facebook and our homepage, so take a look sometimes and see what is new.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

There is so much music out there you are influenced by. We listen still to the old and crappy black metal stuff we always listened to but also to some more modern stuff... i don't want to name any bands because i think it is the wrong way to get inspired. For me as a songwriter it is more about the atmosphere and magic a song or a band creates than any special kind of riffing or lyrical or vocal style. Electronic pop music can be as inspiring as some old Burzum or Darkthrone songs.

11.What are some of your non musical interests?

For me music is the big deal but we also like to do the stuff everyone else does too... Watching movies, books, boozing and party hard,... or just stay at home and hang around.

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final word or thought?

First of all a big thank you for the interview and to anyone who will read it.
I hope every question is answered satisfying and if anyone is interested in the music we play, CDs, Shirts or Shows just feel free to contact us on facebook or via email:
